
The Dr. Fadlo Haidar Library holds a rich collection of books and periodicals, which are reserved for health area professionals who work at the Hospital Sírio-Libanês and for students at the Teaching and Research Institute.
Occupying an area of 200 square meters, the Library has ten workstations, equipped with printers, scanners and computers with broadband Internet connections. It allows research into articles in such bibliographic databases as Medline and LILACS, participates in the Regional Medical Library's Bibliographic Commutation Service (Bireme) and that of the Brazilian Institute of Science and Technology (IBICT). It is also a member of the Private Institutions Electronic Periodicals Consortium (Copere), guaranteeing access to the OVID Research Website and to ScienceDirect Elsevier, which together provide access to the complete versions of 537 periodicals.
There is also a study area with the capacity for 80 people where the user can print out or take photocopies of library materials, on payment of a fee.
The Library is open from Mondays to Fridays, from 8:00 am to 9:45 pm, and on Saturdays from 8:00 am to noon.
