Used in complex cases, the Hospital Sírio-Libanês International Second Opinion in Oncology Service, allows patients to consult the opinion of another specialist without having to move.
By means of a joint-consultation involving the medical teams at the Hospital Sírio-Libanês Oncology Center and the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, the patient receives information on the most suitable treatment for determined types of cancer.
The International Second Opinion Service must be requested by calling +55 (11) 3155-0251 / 0252 and the following documents must be delivered to the Oncology Center:
- Request and consent forms, duly filled in and signed;
- Report from the doctor responsible for the patient;
- Relevant X-ray examinations and reports;
- Relevant pathology reports and paraffin blocks of the referred specimens.
