Founded in 1992, the Hospital Sírio-Libanês Emergency service provides an immediate, uninterrupted service with the dedication and competence of its medical team and the precision guaranteed by the technological resources.
Next to the
Diagnostics Center, the Emergency Department follows international protocols and guarantees a back-up structure for all specialties, as well as having the structure of the Hospital itself available in cases where hospitalization or the need to carry out procedures are necessary.
It has an emergency room for treating patients in a serious condition and rooms for carrying out small surgical procedures. It also has nine doctor's offices and observation and relaxation rooms, where the patient can remain for the time necessary to clear up the diagnosis. Children receive special treatment: they are kept entertained by the decoration of two rooms which have been specially been prepared for them.
There is a permanent team on duty, made up of general practitioners, pediatricians, orthopedists and surgeons, which can also fall back on specialists in all areas who are actioned whenever necessary.
In cases which demand special care, the patient's doctor is notified by the on-duty emergency staff member. If his or her doctor cannot be contacted, the patient can receive all the support of the team of specialists at the Hospital, if he or she so desires.
