The Hospital Sírio-Libanês Semi-Intensive Care Unit accommodates patients who have an important level of dependence and who require more intense care on the part of the nursing and physiotherapy areas. The teams that have been trained to deal with the individual needs of these patients strive to nurse them back to health and return them to their normal lives.
The Hospital Sírio-Libanês Semi-Intensive Care Unit contains 24 rooms with similar facilities to the Intensive Hospitalization Units, but which do not require full-time monitoring or the presence of a doctor.
However, the Nursing, Physiotherapy and Nutrition teams have been through a differentiated training program for looking after these patients that require semi-intensive care. The teams are not limited to meeting the patients' needs during the time they are in the hospital, but they also prepare them for when they are discharged and return to their normal lives.
A companion is allowed to be present in this sector and visits are authorized in accordance with the established Hospital Sírio-Libanês visiting hours.
