The main focus of Rehabilitation lies in the diagnosis and treatment of the disability. Therefore, it is not only focused on the illness and its causes, but also on the effects and the consequences of the illness on the life of the patient. It intends to make it possible for the patient to achieve his or her maximum functional, psychosocial and vocational potential in order to be able to return to his or her family and professional routine in the best way possible. To carry out this delicate job, the Rehabilitation Service uses the services of an integrated, specialist multi-professional team.
The multi-professional Rehabilitation Service team is made up of nurses, physiotherapists, speech therapists, doctors, nutritionists, psychologists, sports technicians and occupational therapists. The size of the team depends on the needs and the complexity of each case. A Functional Evaluation is used as the starting point.
Treatment is carried out in both the hospitalization units and at the Rehabilitation Center's own facilities. Treatment is usually more intense, especially in the critical units, but it is available in all of the hospitalization units. The Rehabilitation Center is situated on the Intermediate Floor, where it occupies an area of 800 m2 containing the most modern, highly regarded facilities in the Rehabilitation area.

The Center offers countless Rehabilitation Programs, treating musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiac, respiratory and oncological diseases, which are aimed at promoting health and improving the quality of life. There are also programs intended for athletes and for those who want to start or increase their level of physical activity, as well for patients with weight problems.
Treatment at the Rehabilitation Center must be booked in advance and is offered on Mondays to Fridays, from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, and on Saturdays, from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm.
