Its laboratory carries out anatomopathological studies of organs or their parts, which have been surgically removed, with the aim of giving a diagnosis of the lesion so that it can be treated properly.

Biopsies, carried out by freezing during surgery, guarantee that the removal of a small fragment of material can be analyzed and diagnosed by the pathologist in only a few minutes. The nature of the lesion - a benign or a malignant tumor or an inflammatory process - can alter the surgeon's actions during the procedure itself.
